Hiking through Muir Woods

Ben, Jess, Thief and myself went to Muir Woods to check out the majestic redwoods. There’s a wooden boardwalk that extends through the park as the main trail, but we took the Hillside Trail first. We went hiking out of bounds and climbed up a fallen tree that reminded me of a toboggan ride. Then Thief decided he could beat us all back to the visitor’s center by running the Ocean View Trail (2.5 miles) while we walked the main trail back (.7 miles). We had to wait like 15 minutes while he caught up and appeared shirtless. Ha.

Surprise! Thief is in San Francisco for the summer!

Thief’s rap was the shit, but along with the surprise, we celebrated the arrival of thief and Sonya with a trip up to the headlands, a stop over at JD’s new apartment and drinking punch at Hobson’s Choice.

We broke in JD’s new place with a house party during the Haight-Ashbury Street Fair. It was my first time to this and it was a lot of fun with DJs on one end, bands on the other. We happened to see this drag queen band singing Jefferson Airplane which was a trip.
