Ben’s 25th Birthday!

Benjammin turned 25 and we celebrated in style with a 12 hour drink-a-thon which included drinking games, listening to dance music, coked out weirdos who like to steal sweaters, lesbian trannies and Double Dutch. Any time lesbian trannies are involved it’s going to be a good night because your guaranteed at least one good story next morning. Last night at Delirium this crazy guy started dancing in fishnet stockings and a really short skirt. Dana went up to him and asked if she’d would do something crazy for Ben as it was his birthday. She replied “I’m a lesbian, I don’t do guys!”

Muxtape to the rescue

MuxtapeMy latest, greatest stumble has been Muxtape and it’s an awesome site for a slow day at work. It’s premise is around trading CD mixes like we used to do back in the day, but instead of burning the mix to a disk, it’s all on the web. At first glance, I’m impressed how easily it is to discover new music by listening to other’s mixes. It’s very easy to click into a random playlist and find several songs you’ve never heard of before and really find you enjoy them. I think since the site is new (launched 4/25/2008), a lot of early adopters have jumped on it really posting quality music. I’m finding lts of Justice, Ratatat, MGMT & Hot Chip. Check it out on your own, but for now this is replacing my iTunes shuffle playlist.

Red by Shelton

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, here it is, the long awaited music video Red by Shelton. We shot this at the 320 House on 12.6.02, the same day we shot the Harbor Skyline Videos. I ended up passing on the funny skit scenes with this one and added some special effects. The more intense the music and lyrics, the more red the glow gets and I tried to match it up. Check out the video Red by Shelton and visit SheltonRock.com, you can download the Red mp3 there too.

Also, Support your local Auburn/Alabama music scene; download this file and share it on Kazza or whatever you use. Same goes for the Harbor Skyline videos & mp3s. Visit SheltonRock.com and post on the message board, let ‘um know what you think of the song and the video. Head to AuburnRock.com for show listing and read their message board. And lastly, leave a comment on my site, let me know what to change and what to make better.
