Prop 8 rally takes over San Francisco
On our bike ride today we caught up with the many Prop 8 protests & rallies going on in the city today. There were lots of people peacefully protesting at city hall. Further down on market protesters had blocked the on-ramp to 101. People were getting arrested and put in paddy wagons while traffic was stopped in all directions. Protesters then marched from Dolores park up Church with signs and large rainbow flags chanting Prop 8 songs. It appeared they were on their way to Union Square if I heard them correctly. Today the city is very alive with Prop 8 protests as the city is pissed this was passed.
