On Friday, night I saw Royksopp at Bimbo’s 365. I’ve been a fan of “Melody A.M.‿ for a long time and now with their new CD “The Understanding” coming out I knew I had to see the show. Even cooler is that Bimbo’s is right down the street from my place. So here’s one of my favorite groups, playing less than 100 yards from my place, how cool is that.

I ended up staging across the street at Kennedy’s with some exchange student friends and their teachers. The beer’s were only $3.50 and every time you bought one, you get a token for free one. Two for one, not bad in SF. So after I was pretty drunk, I headed over for the show.

It was packed, people from wall to wall and Bimbo’s was a big place too. There must have been at least 300 people in there. Royksopp was awesome. Great sound and they played a lot of songs from Melody A.M. too. The lights made a really cool effect too. All in all, it was a kick ass show. Afterwards, I went out to a couple more bars before calling it a night. I’ve included a sample track from their new CD.
