German 1, I thought, would be a fun and easy elective class that I could get four credit hours for. So against the will of my parents, I enrolled in German 1 along side my other classes for a grand total of 16 hours for the second semester of freshman year. Everything was cool until I was assigned the first homework assignment. Learn & memorize the 150 vocabulary words from pages 13 through 15 for Friday’s class and be prepared for a quiz over them.

Do I drop the class and just have 12 hours? That would mean I wouldn’t be a sophomore next semester. I really don’t want to do that.

Do I drop the class and try to add another? I’m not completely against the idea, but it would be my first time to drop and class. To be honest, I would feel as if I’d given up.

Or, do I stick with it and fight it all the way through? Leave your comments on my dilemma. What would you do in my place?
